This is another poster I designed to promote my studio [link] My Dad always used to say "at your service" and in remembering that I thought of a French waiter for some reason. I thought to myself "who would be the raddest waiter you'd want to see. Naturally the Frankenstein monster.

This was done in combination between illustrator and photoshop CS4.

Oh my god! I just realised that YOU did this one. I found this ages ago, totally forgot if I commented or not so I'm doing it again. This piece is seriously EPIC. Really digging the vectors mixed with texture and detail. Really works.

I'm surprised not too many people (when I say people, I mean my Design school peers) really play around with mixed mediums like this even in photoshop. It can really add a lot of personality and the way you've done this one brings that out. Raddest waiter I've ever seen for sure

That's really awesome that you've seen this before. It's probably my favorite promotional poster with the exception of the second piece you'll see here [link]

You really have to utilize what both apps can bring to a piece. Sometimes it can make all the difference.

That second piece is awesome. Really love the white bird silhouette over the painted texture. Really effective.

And I'm a firm believer that combining application techniques can pay off better than sticking to one or the other

Ooh that sounds great. We haven't had any rain except for that freak storm 6 weeks ago out here in California. I could use a storm right about now.

I think freak storms are the norm these days.
We've been having freakish weather the last 12 months. We're supposed to be in spring around beginning of September but it was just an elongated winter until about mid october. Freezing but not a great deal of rain. And still people call global warming a myth.. -chuckles sarcastically-
Last year we had one freak storm where we were getting hail the size of tennis balls. A lot of ppl had their cars written off from hail damage :/
